Nostalgia fills the air as the seasoned timbre of Freddie Mercury’s Fazioli piano spills over into Studio A at London Metropolis Studios. We traveled across the ocean to record Melissa's opus on the right piano in the right studio with some of the best engineers in the business. In short, it is the story of going home and facing the painful scars of the past with grace. This stunning live performance on an iconic instrument in a legendary room produced raw magic aimed to inspire hearts across the world with a message of forgiveness and hope.
We teamed up with one of Miami's hottest DJ's, Austin Leeds, to take our theatrical rock ballad to an energetic, "larger than life" level inspired by the fabulous and unapologetic Drag Queens of the world. It is impossible to sit still or resist belting out the juicy bits when the DJ drops this contagious remix. Queen Remix is our electrified anthem for anyone who has ever been wrongfully painted as the villain and stepped up to own it with
dramatic fanfare, a crown, and a smirk.
For every woman who has ever been unrightfully painted as a villain, this is for you. The song has a clever storyline of the Queen of Hearts, with the tables turned from her perspective. Layers of references to the classic tale have been planted with a twist as she transforms into the antagonistic character that has been written for her with dramatic fanfare. She not only accepts the role but ups the ante to royalty and sinks her teeth into the madness, fortifying her status with full-on fiery rock goddess finale.
Haunting foreshadowing followed by rich, reflective vocals and strings move waves of clarity and grief in forgiveness of the self-denying role you played in the name of “love.” Suppressed emotion erupts into an orchestral power ballad, igniting life as you know it. Deeper introspection leads to elevated explosiveness of passionate vocals and a wailing guitar. A heart-wrenching duet between pleading vocalist and forlorn horn brings you to your knees before echoing alarms announce the arrival of reinforcements for your rebirth from the flames.
Written from the perspective of someone trying to reach you, their loved one, in the struggle of PTSD, this song captures the progressive desperation that is often hidden behind closed doors. Layers of musical metaphors and scraps of poetry are composed as a floatation device, holding your head above water long enough to regain sight of the nearest lighthouse. A candle in the darkness, a wholesome voice finds you alone, offering to guide you home. Groovy bass line, gristly guitar and punchy drummer set the pace on a journey both far from home and near the heart. Orchestral strings and horns enrichen the soundtrack with soaring emotion. Resounding guitar solo and hysterical rock drums drive you through pandemonium as warm vocals escalate to a firestorm. Finally, the cathedral organ paves the last leg with a choir of horns announcing your arrival. In a time of transcending global trauma, Can’t Let Go was written, with love, for the world.
Inspiration hit at sunset on the soft, sandy shore. Ocean waves gave way to a lulling melody and lyrics of longing for a magical kind of love. Yearning poured out on paper by the moonlight with a dream of what could be, wished upon endless stars. To capture the scenery of conception, southern charm vocals and twinkling piano are woven with blues and sultry jazz to fulfill a soulful sensation. With no one out in the abyss to answer the fiery call, a wailing guitar provides a passionate reply.
MCSVG (McSavage) is a new singer/songwriter duo, Melissa Collins (MC) and Savannah Gates (SVG), based in Fort Worth, TX. Evident in her rich timbers, MC’s humble musical roots lie in the hills of Kentucky where she was raised in the soulful harmonies of Appalachia. But the lead vocalist/pianist is no stranger to the fast-paced big stage in LA. Her work was featured in Emmy Award-Winning series, recorded by Grammy-nominated artists, and submitted for six categories in the 56th Grammys before she was forced into early retirement due to an auto-immune disease attacking her vocal cords. After years without music, MC discovered a miracle. Her voice had returned, and stronger than ever. That is when she met SVG, another smalltown girl from West Texas with a background in engineering and writing. The duo has been producing diverse, worldly compositions full of layered imagery and emotion with underlying ancient solfeggio healing frequencies. They have a range of singles published and are currently working on their first EP scheduled to release in 2024. Every piece is a song their younger self needed to hear that could have changed their trajectory for the better, sooner, and hope that it may do the same for you.
